My Role: Illustrator — 20+ illustrations for editorial articles and Instagram stories.
Brief: Create a series of supporting illustrations for VK Market's blog — visually communicating platform features, seller stories, and marketplace concepts in a consistent, engaging style adaptable to both web articles and social media stories.
Problem: Editorial content about e-commerce features and seller tips is inherently dry. Without strong visuals, blog articles struggle to hold attention — especially when repurposed for fast-scrolling Instagram stories. Each illustration needed to make abstract digital concepts immediately readable and appealing.
Insight: The right illustration doesn't decorate an article — it earns the click. A consistent visual language across blog and social content builds recognition and keeps the audience engaged across formats.
Design Intent:
- Flat, colourful style that works across both article headers and story formats
- Each illustration communicates a specific concept at a glance
- Cohesive series feel across 20+ varied topics
- Optimised for both desktop web and mobile social formats
Outcome: A substantial library of editorial illustrations published across VK Market's blog and distributed through Instagram stories over several months — supporting the platform's ongoing content programme for sellers and buyers.
